My, my, my, I just received a CP13 in red and I am really impressed with it! It is a substantial device in all regards. I placed a tape from my collection, as seen in the photo, recorded onto a TDK SA90 120µs, with Dolby B noise reduction. This tape was recorded in either 1978, or 1980. It was a practice that I would record a brand new album to cassette, put the album away and listen to the tape, preserving the album as well as could be. Today, for the first time in decades, I listened to, Little River Band, on the FiiO CP13. Almost brought tears to my eyes due to a flood of memories coursing through my mind. The tape is well preserved, I really can't tell any loss of sound quality. Yes, it retained everything I was glad to leave behind when I moved on to CD's and then digital downloads. The needle landing on the vinyl, the sound of the record, tape hiss, faint, but discernible pops and other surface artifacts and then....Music! Although there is no Dolby, no tape bias to select from, the CP13 sounds fantastic! It wasn't long before I switched to better tapes, TDK SA90; Maxell XL-IIS; and the metal's of TDK MX & Maxell MX. The later tapes which were recorded in Dolby C & HX Pro were the best as far as almost non-existent tape hiss and almost no loss in the upper frequencies. But it just doesn't matter. Being able to listen to music, whole albums and mixed playlists with all their imperfections for a hundred bucks, priceless!

Thanks FiiO for making this possible. My little red CP13 is a standout product. I actually love its size and weight, and simplicity.

And that right there is the point. If you like it, that’s all that matters.

Cheers and congrats.👍🏼

Glad you enjoyed CP13!

I think we're mainly trying to give some of you who like tapes and can't get a new cassette player, another option, that's all!

If we can make people happy, we are satisfied :beerchug:

That looks neat. I usually like the minimal clean look but looking at the transparent cover, I wish there was a little Fiio branding on the top right corner.
