New Member Introductions thread

Hi, I recently purchased aune s17 pro for my headphone but still looking for DAC.
I was checking and found Xduoo XD05 pro which can be kinda portable yet be used as desktop DAC for the unit.
Does anyone think its good ideal or bad ideal to run it this way? ( I am kinda newbie and looking for many advice for a cheaper dac)
If i posted this on wrong forum i am sorry.
It all depends on your budget, and what type of source you are already using now with the Arune, to understand what your listening habit is and what your references are.

Choosing a Xduoo XD05 pro would make more sense if you hadn't already invested in a good amp, and would probably lead to you spending another 1000+ dollars to then customize it.

Having already invested in an excellent amp, you could instead try with cheaper DAC/AMP or Dongle, but equally good sounding if combined with a good amp, such as FiiO Q15, or iBasso Elite, or Astell & Kern HK HC4, just to name a few.

Get well informed by following the various threads before making this decision; I got the Xduoo XD05 pro but I didn't previously have a good amp and I'm going to spend well over 1000 euros in total to customize it's sound, and I don't think that the internal DAC-only part is better than the alternatives I mentioned; the story changes if you want a system that allows you to transport your sound outside the home, in which case it might make sense to also invest in an Xduoo XD05 pro, if your budget allows it.

Hi! My name is Maxime. I am from Canada. I’ve been reading reviews on head-fi.org for years but only now did I take the time to create an account. I am a huge fan of Focal headphones, currently owning the Utopia 2020, the Elegia, the Bathys and the Listen Professional. I also have the Hadenys on order. Thank you for having me!

Hello, my name is Feliphe and I'm from Brazil. I'm a beginner and I always follow the reviews posted here. I intend to bring reviews of some equipment I own and also the new Elysian Pilgrim.
Eai, Felipe. Você escreve inglês muito bem. Me deixa feliz em saber que tem audiophiles brasileiros aqui!

(Hi, Felipe, you write in English very well. It makes me happy to know there are Brazilian audiophiles here!)

Hi.
Greetings all.

I've actually been following the head.fi forum for a long time. but only as a reader.

currently I already have several iem, headphones, dap and amp. I want to explore audio further.

Even though I'm new here, I often visit local audio gatherings and meetings.

Hopefully by creating an account here I can contribute to sharing my experiences.

Thank You.

Hey all,

I'm new here (been a long time lurker)

Originally, I was into my wireless earbuds however, that changed when one of my mates introduced me to IEMs.. Now it's turned into a bit of an obsession involving constant research, buying/selling iems, etc 😅

Hi my name is Martin, i'm from Chester in the UK. I have been another Lurker for a little while, but have now joined the fold as am now starting on my Headphone journey properly. I have always had a headphone in my system but didn't really get much use. Started with a Sennheiser HD570 Symphony many years ago. I then wanted to get a good set of headphones about six years ago, and went for the Sennheiser (drop) 6XX. I have now just upgraded my kit and also ventured into the world of IEM's. I now want to start listening to my headphones more. Hopefully i can learn from fellow members and hopefully give some helpful feedback myself.
